How to submit BlackBerry PlayBook apps to App World

RIM’s BlackBerry playbook tablet is creating news and RIM is fully geared to get more app developers working on playbook apps. To make that more exciting, RIM has announced a free Playbook for all developers who submit their apps to the app-world before the device launch.

Details of the free PlayBook give away are still not clear  but you need to know how to upload these apps to App-World. Currently, publishers and partners have no way to do that. RIM is expected to announce the procedure of How to upload Playbook apps to App-World in their web-cast scheduled at 7pm GMT on Thursday, December 9th.

So if you are a developer and you are looking forward to learn how to submit your PlayBook apps to App-World, register for this web-cast now and let’s see what RIM’s got scheduled for us in this web-cast.

I’ve already posted a number of useful apps that you should at least have on your BlackBerry phones to start with. Today I’ll give you a few more apps links to try out. If you have not tried these apps out, I’m sure you’ll love them. Here is today’s list:

Quick Search with Google

This app will allow you to search the web using the popular Google Search and its very quick to use. Doesn’t sound too interesting of you think the browser is good enough? Just give it a try, its free. Download here.

AOL Instant Messenger

Have you been using AOL messenger for your instant  messaging and you have all your friends on AOL? Just download this free app by RIM and stay in touch with your friends on your BB. Here’s the download link.

Last but not least, this is where all the other apps reside. Yes, BlackBerry app world is the on-device application store where you can download and buy apps for your BlackBerry. As I promised to keep you guys updated with the valuable BlackBerry apps, here’s another must-have application for your BlackBerry. Viigo is basically a feature rich RSS reader. You download this app for free, make an account and add your RSS feeds to it. You can read your RSS feeds anywhere and everywhere you can carry your handset.

The app comes preloaded with several interesting RSS feeds, weather feeds, score feeds and a directory of feeds and podcast to search from. If you subscribe to video or audio podcast, you can download and play media on your BlackBerry device and it works seamlessly with the native blackberry media player.

I’ve been using it for years now as it has been a very useful tool. Viigo for BlackBerry is such a useful tool that in March 2010, Research in Motion (RIM), manufacturers of BlackBerry handsets, acquired Viigo and now Viigo team is part of research in motion.

I must confess, I always hated BlackBerry phones but since the day I was forced to carry one, I’m stuck with it and I cant help carrying one all the time. It’s been several years now. No matter if my company gives me a handset or not, I go buy one and I keep using it for all its wonderful features.

Today I’m starting a new series of posts that will continue in days to come. I will be introducing BlackBerry apps that you can install on your phone and can do more than what you do with it today. To start off, I will be listing down the most common apps that are used with BlackBerry phones. Here starts the list:

BlackBerry Messenger
If your phone did not come with BlackBerry messenger pre-installed, install it today. This useful little app will allow you to text chat with any other BlackBerry user on planet earth totally free of cost. Google Talk for BlackBerry

Windows Live Messenger for BlackBerry
